Learn how to get started with CNC milling in our makerspace!

This 2,5-hour hands-on introduction gives you all the basics you need to safely and confidently use our Mekanika CNC machines.

After completing this session, members are certified to use:
* Mekanika Fab – Full board CNC for sheet material like wood, acrylic and Solid Surface
* Mekanika Pro (size L) – This machine will be available from October on. 1x1m cutting area for sheet material mentioned above as well as soft metals.

You will learn:
* How to set up and operate the Mekanika CNC safely
* The basics of the control software used for CNC milling
* Which materials can be milled, and which are available in our on-site shop
* The essentials of milling bits – what they do, and which ones we provide
* Practical tips for fixing materials to the bed and choosing the right tool
* Where to find resources to continue learning and expand your CNC skills

This is a guided demonstration — you’ll participate in cutting a sample piece and see each step in action.

Schedule & Language:
* Held every other week
* Sessions are either in English and German depending on participants preferences.
