Alt Makers SkillLab - Free workshops for members

Learn. Design. Create.

Our Alt Makers SkillLab workshops help you deepen your maker skills and explore new techniques — from sewing and laser cutting to CNC and woodworking.
Each session focuses on understanding the process, not just the result: you’ll practice techniques, make one sample together, and gain everything you need to complete your own project later at your own pace.

You’ll go home with:
* Digital files for a basic model (CNC cutting plans, sewing patterns, or laser files)
* Instructions to personalize and build your own version
* Guidance to complete your project in the makerspace afterward
* Each workshop explores one theme — for example:
- Sewing for beginners: Reusable makeup remover pads
- Sewing intermediate: Period underwear
- CNC beginner: Plant stand
- CNC & woodworking intermediate: Rotating bookshelf
- Laser cutting beginner: Puzzle design
- Laser cutting intermediate: Routine or to-do tracker

What to expect:
* Hands-on demonstrations and creative discussion
* Learn practical skills in a calm, theory-based environment
* Receive all digital resources to continue your project independently
* Workshops held on Thursdays from 18:00 to 20:00
* Small groups for personalized attention

Schedule & Access:
* Free for members only (non-members cannot attend)
* Language: English or German, depending on the group
* Instructions available in both languages

Join the SkillLab and keep expanding your maker toolbox — one project at a time.
