Free Tufting 101

Curious about tufting?

In this one-hour introduction, you’ll get to know all the essential tools and materials needed to start your own tufting projects safely and confidently.

This session gives you a full overview of how to work with our tufting equipment. You’ll learn the differences between our ClawLab and AK-V tufting guns, how they operate in theory, and what to watch out for when handling them.

Although this session is demonstration-only (we won’t tuft during the class), you’ll see the complete setup — from frame preparation to yarn selection — and understand what’s needed to start your first project afterward.

You will learn:
* How to set up and adjust different tufting frames
* The types of tufting guns (ClawLab & AK-V), their features, and maintenance basics
* Safety rules for setup, use, and cleaning
* Which yarns work best, which are available in our shop, and what to look for when sourcing your own
* How to plan your workspace setup for efficient and safe tufting
* Where to find resources and inspiration to keep learning after the session
