Learn the fundamentals of 3D printing

Curious about 3D printing at Alt Makers? In this beginner-friendly introduction, we will first go over the specific workflow to use the 3D printers at Alt Makers. If you are familiar with 3D printing, you can leave. If you want to know more, you’ll learn everything you need to confidently start your first prints in our makerspace. Whether you’re completely new or already experimenting with downloaded models, this session will give you a solid understanding of how our equipment works and what you can create with it.

You'll get familiar with the materials we offer, the software we use to prepare files, and the full workflow from idea to finished print. And of course, Brian — who built his first 3D printer from parts over 10 years ago — will answer all your questions, no matter your experience level.

This session is open to everyone, including non-members who just want to see how approachable 3D printing really is. Members can continue learning through our dedicated 3D-printing SkillLabs.
